Travis Smith has been working in and around photography in Austin since the late 1990s, starting out assisting his father with portrait and wedding shoots. He studied commercial photography at ACC, covering both analog and digital technique, digital workflow, color management, and fine art printmaking.

Today Travis works as a freelance Stills Digitech/DIT and Lighting Tech, comfortable across strobe and continuous lighting, and known for staying two steps ahead of the photographer's needs to keep a shoot running smoothly. He's worked productions large and small — often alongside video units as part of a stills team — for clients including Dan Winters Photography, Volvo, Academy Sports + Outdoors, Target, and Charles Schwab, alongside agencies and production companies like Hounds Group and Fin and Fur Films.

He also handles post-production and retouching, rounding out a full on-set-to-delivery workflow.
